Welcome to Term 1 2021
Welcome to the 2021 school year. We hope that you had some time to relax over the Summer holidays, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our school.
As you will all be aware we are still operating under COVID 19 guidelines for QLD State Schools.
Directions from our department advise us that parents may come on site if adhering to social distancing regulations of 1.5 metres, wearing a mask, not gathering in areas around the school and staying home if sick.
Schools have also been advised that they may implement school specific strategies to manage before and after school drop off times to limit these larger gatherings of adults.
Due to the limited school entry and exit points, which prevent physical distancing being maintained, all adults must wear a mask when coming on school grounds avoid gathering in groups in school grounds and carparks.
Staff supervising in these areas will also wear masks. The following procedures will be implemented from the first day of this term:
Prep:
Arrival: One adult may drop children to their Prep classroom. Adults must wear a mask, adhere to social distancing guidelines of 1.5 metres and leave the Prep precinct promptly after drop off.
Departure: To avoid group gatherings all school gates will open at 2.40pm. The Prep Precinct will also be opened at 2.40pm. One adult may collect children from the front of their classroom. All adults must wear a mask and are responsible for socially distancing 1.5m from other adults.

Year 1:
Arrival: One adult may drop children to covered area near the tuckshop. All adults must wear a mask, adhere to social distancing guidelines of 1.5 metres and leave the tuckshop after dropping their child to the covered area. All Year 1 teachers will be waiting for their students in this area.
Departure: One adult may collect children from the covered area near the tuckshop. Class teachers will dismiss students from the area. All adults must wear a mask and are responsible for socially distancing 1.5 from other adults.

Year 2-6
Arrival: Students to be dropped off between 8.30am and 8.45am to the drop off and pick up zone, hall, back or top gates and will go independently to class. Students walking or riding to school also need to arrive between 8.30am and 8.45am and move directly to their classroom.
Departure: Students will walk from classes to meet parents at their designated pick up point: drop off and pick up zone, hall, back or top gates. Students walking or riding from school need to depart the grounds promptly.

Before and After School Care must be arranged for students who need to be dropped off prior to 8.30am
