Every
year, as part of promoting harmony within our school community we invite guest
performers to visit the school and share their experiences, knowledge and
cultural identity with the children.
Wala
is a musical group from Ghana in West Africa, and their name means “life” in
their local language. They combine
traditional Ghanaian instruments with singing, dancing, costumes and drumming
to tell stories and showcase their culture. Students are invited to try out
different instruments and to join in the dance. It’s a fun packed show and
students across the country have enjoyed watching Wala perform for many years.
