Children need to wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, hat and appropriate shoes for running. They can also wear their house colours.
I will be organising a running club this year for those who would like to train. Sessions will be held from 8am – 8.30am on the school oval and will be held each week on Tuesday & Thursday leading up to the Cross Country beginning Tuesday 9 March. Please make sure your child brings spare clothes, shoes & socks for running.
Spectators are permitted at this event. There will be a designated area for spectators set up on the oval. Spectators will need to sign a register on arrival and maintain social distancing within this area.
Prep-3 children will be involved in a Walkathon on Thursday 25th March to encourage fitness and to raise money for the school chaplaincy program. Children in years 1-3 will be walking through the school on part of the year 4-6 Cross Country Course. Parents are also encouraged to come along for the walk. The preps will be conducting their walkathon within the school grounds from their classroom down to the oval.
Children need to wear their hats, bring a water bottle and appropriate shoes for walking. They can also wear a sun safe shirt in the colour of their sports house group. Each class is designated a time to walk the course so that there isn't too much congestion on the walking tracks.
Yours sincerely,
