Springfield Lakes State School Parents and Citizens' Association
The P&C works in productive partnership with Springfield Lakes State School and the wider community to promote the interests of the school, and facilitate its development and further improvement, to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.
Joining the P&C is a great way to meet new people at the school and contribute your ideas. The P&C organise various fundraising activities and community events like the Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls, discos, election barbecues, movie nights, school fair and more. Recent P&C achievements include fans in the school hall, shade sails on the oval, shade over the senior playground, welcome mural, gala sports uniforms, and music equipment. Building a sense of community is important and the P&C tries to work with local community-based organisations for projects including the Springfield Camira Men's Shed for Prep's blackboard picnic table and chair sets, and Corinda State High School whose students built some seating.
The P&C meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.00 pm in the Springfield Lakes State School administration building. Children are welcome to attend. The meeting is open to members and non-members.
